Year 1 loved their trip to Mountfitchet Castle as part of their Castles topic in History. They were very excited to spot all the features of castles that they had learnt about as well as having a go at all the activities! They enjoyed seeing how good their sword fighting and jousting skills were, as well as trying on a variety of helmets – they couldn’t believe how heavy they were! They loved testing their strength when trying their hands at archery and using the catapults.
