Admissions Information

On this page you will find information about Nursery, Reception and In year admissions. We hope that you will find all of the information that you need here, however if you have further questions please do contact the school office.

Open Events

We are delighted that we are now able to offer prospective parents and their children the opportunity to visit our school in-person.

Open Morning, Wednesday 17th November 9.30am – 11.00am

Open Evening, Thursday 18th November 7pm – 8.30pm

Parents and their pre-school (age 2-4) child/ren are very welcome to attend our Open Morning on Wednesday 17th November or our Open Evening on Thursday 18th November. There will be six tours running at approximately 10 minute intervals each day, running for 30 minutes each.

Morning tours will start at 9.30am, 9.40am, 9.50am, 10.10am, 10.20am and 10.30am.

Evening tours will start at 7.00pm, 7.10pm, 7.20pm, 7.40pm, 7.50pm and 8.00pm.

Attendance will be limited to 4 adults per group, and appointments must be booked in advance.

Please contact the school directly to book your appointment on admissions@tannerydrift.herts.sch.uk

As spaces are limited we would appreciate your flexibility and understanding should your preferred slot already be full. We are politely requesting that only one parent/carer and child attend per family, and that families with children in other year groups refrain from attending this year. We hope that by offering a Morning and an Evening event this will enable more than one parent/ carer to visit the school across the events.

Covid-conscious

As we continue to work towards keeping our whole school community safe by reducing the transmission of Covid-19, we request that all visitors to school wear face coverings when indoors, and we also ask that parents complete a lateral flow test and receive a negative result before visiting us.

Parking

Please note there will be limited parking on the school site. We would encourage all visitors to walk to the school where possible, which is located a short distance from the town centre.

What if I am unable to attend one of the morning tours or evening tours offered?

We have produced in introductory video which you can find at the top of this page, and which we hope you will find informative.  We are also updating our Early Years Information Sheets and Presentation, which will be uploaded after the events.

As well as watching our video we do encourage you to take time to look through our website which is very informative and provides lots of further information. On this page you can find out more about how to apply for a Nursery or Reception place.

We appreciate that you might have lots of questions and our team here are on hand to answer these. There are some frequently asked questions in the downloads area on this page, however if you wish to ask a question that is not noted, please contact the school office on 01763 246549 or via email.

Many thanks for such a lovely open session last week, it was wonderful and I know my daughter would thrive in this kind of setting. The tour guides Becky and Camilla were wonderful and such a huge credit to the school and their parents. You must all be so proud.
