From the 15^th to the 17^th May, Year 4 students from Tannery Drift First School embarked on a fun-packed residential trip to Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire. During their visit they threw themselves into the activities come rain or shine, including zip-lining, high ropes activities, giant swing, orienteering, archery, fencing and survival skills. Some of the activities required the children to challenge themselves by trying things that they hadn’t done before, Emilija said, ‘So many of us faced our fears’, this included the staff who also joined in with the activities, some of which took place at height!

The children were a credit to themselves and the school, and it was a wonderful way to develop their confidence and foster independence ahead of the transition to their new schools in September.  

The children had a wonderful time, with Omar commenting that ‘We had the best time ever at PGL and want to go back already.’

Having heard all about the trip, children in Year 3 are already excited for their visit next year!
