A team of Year 4 pupils from Tannery Drift First School experienced success this month, taking second place in the finals of the Hertfordshire Schools Maths Challenge.

Competing against teams from around Hertfordshire, the UK, and some international teams too, the 4 children worked together to solve challenging maths problems and answer questions. The children’s superb teamwork was rewarded as they made their way through the first round and then saw off strong competition in the finals to secure their second-place spot. With over 160 schools competing this was a brilliant achievement for Aria, Reuben, Dylan and Cornel!
