Drama forms an intrinsic part of our curriculum, both as a standalone subject, and as a way of bringing other subjects to life.

We have a strong emphasis on incorporating drama into our Literacy teaching and greatly value the importance of developing effective speaking and listening skills. Strengthening the children’s understanding and knowledge of a subject through Drama has proved very successful in raising achievement, with children applying what they have experienced in their Drama sessions to their written work.

Children enjoy getting involved in Key Stage productions at Christmas and the end of the year. These are always popular events in the school calendar, well supported by the rest of the school and performed to sell-out audiences.
