School Hours & Term Dates
The Tannery Drift First School day runs from 8.45am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday (this equates to 32.5 hours in a typical week).
For children in Reception to Year 4 classroom doors open at 8.40am, and close at 8.45am, ready for a prompt start to learning.
For children in Nursery who start their day in the morning, doors open at 8.30am and close at 8.40am. Those whose Nursery session starts in the afternoon should arrive at 12.30pm, with the door closing at 12.40pm.
2024 – 2025 Term Dates
Tannery Drift First School, as a maintained school, adheres to the term dates set by Hertfordshire County Council. We are able to set our own 5 INSET (staff training) days and one Occasional Day for the academic year. Local schools in other counties may have differing term dates set by their county. Academies are able to set their own term dates.
