2024 – 2025 Term Dates

Tannery Drift First School, as a maintained school, adheres to the term dates set by Hertfordshire County Council. We are able to set our own 5 INSET (staff training) days and one Occasional Day for the academic year. Local schools in other counties may have differing term dates set by their county. Academies are able to set their own term dates.

Autumn Term 2024

To begin on Wednesday 4th September 2024

Half Term: 28th October - 1st November 2024

To end on Friday 20th December 2024

Occasional Day: Friday 6th December 2024

INSET Days: Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd September 2024

Spring Term 2025

To begin on Tuesday 7th January 2025

Half Term: 17th February – 21st February 2025

To end on Friday 4th April 2025

INSET Day: Monday 6th January 2025

Summer Term 2025

To begin on Tuesday 22nd April 2025

Half Term: 26th May – 30th May 2025

To end on Tuesday 22nd July 2025

Bank Holiday: Monday 5th May 2025

INSET Days: Monday 2nd June and Wednesday 23rd July 2025

Parents of children in Y1 and Y2 please note that national assessments (phonic screening and SATs) will take place during May and June 2025. It is essential that children are in school for these dates.
