2023 – 2024 Term Dates
Tannery Drift First School, as a maintained school, adheres to the term dates set by Hertfordshire County Council. We are able to set our own 5 INSET (staff training) days and one Occasional Day for the academic year. Local schools from other counties may have differing term dates set by their county. Academies are able to set their own term dates.
Autumn Term 2023
To begin on Monday 4th September
Half Term: 23rd October - 27th October 2023
To end on Wednesday 20th December 2023
INSET day: Friday 1st September 2023
Occasional Day: Friday 1st December 2023
Spring Term 2024
To begin on Monday 8th January 2024
Half Term: 19th February – 23rd February 2024
To end on Thursday 28th March 2024
INSET Days: Thursday 4th January and Friday 5th January 2024
Summer Term 2024
To begin on Monday 15th April 2024
Half Term: 27th May – 31st May 2024
To end on Friday 19th July 2024
INSET Days: Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd July 2024
Parents of children in Y1 and Y2 please note that national assessments (phonic screening and SATs) will take place during May and June 2024. It is essential that children are in school for these dates.
